New Year Wishes from Candy
As one year ends and the next begins, we take time to look forward with excited anticipation, embracing the endless possibilities. It is time to dream of all the things we wish to accomplish.
It is a time to look back and reflect on our hard learned lessons. A time of nostalgia, holding dear all the people we love, especially the ones who are gone. We remember what they taught and how it inspired us.
How do I express my gratitude to everyone who makes the dream of Peace Tree grow and flourish? It takes a village – that is what we are trying to accomplish. Our plants provide beauty and function – feeding body and soul.
It is an incredible honor to know that the plants we grow are shared by so many people. Our plants grow in the finest public and private gardens in our country. As I read the newest issue of Bloom from The Greater Des Moines Botanical Garden, I discovered our Salvias growing in their ‘front yard’! We were just visited by the talented photographer Rob Cardillo, doing a photo shoot for a wonderful garden magazine. I really enjoyed getting the plant models ready to shine! I wonder how the garden artists from Chanticleer will utilize our plant palette this year? We’re looking forward to Spring when our friends return to the greenhouse for their garden delights.
We are Plant People, connected to the Earth and each other. Our work is a LABOR of LOVE. We are garden artists and crazy plant geeks who appreciate the beauty and wonder of Nature.
Sow a Seed, Plant a Hope, Grow a Garden!
Wishing all a very Happy New Year,
Good health and happiness,
oooxxx
